A Child’s Sleep Problems Can Affect the Entire Family

When a child cannot get to sleep on a nightly basis, it is not simply that child that is affected. It is possible for the entire family to also lose sleep along with that child. Parents stay up trying to get the child to sleep or are awakened by the child in the middle of the night. If the child has siblings, they may also be affected, especially if they sleep in the same room. A brother or sister who has no problem falling asleep may start to imitate their sibling who has a hard time sleeping because of the extra attention parents seem to give to a child who cannot sleep.

You may be at your wit’s end about what to do meanwhile your entire household is functioning without enough rest. Continued sleep loss is not good for the health and well-being of your family. Perhaps you have tried tips suggested by friends and family or things you have read in magazines, but these have not worked. Or they worked temporarily, but you found that after a day or two your child was still unable to sleep.

There is help; you do not have to figure this out on your own. Nighty Night makes video and audio sleep aids for sleep training that work to help toddlers and children of all ages get a good night’s sleep.
